Here at UMADAOP Lucas County, we embody the mission of our parent organization, UMADAOP Federation, of providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate, evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery, re-entry and educational services for Lucas County’s African and Hispanic American communities. In doing so, we strive to make our communities healthier and stronger for the families that inhabit them.

UMADAOP Lucas County lives out its mission by providing exceptional behavioral health services to the communities, specifically those who are disenfranchised, of Lucas County, OH. UMADAOP Lucas County prides itself on ensuring that we direct our focus towards the enhancement of lives and the creation of opportunities for the African and Hispanic American communities of Lucas County. To this end, our programs work to prevent harm resulting from alcohol and other types of substance abuse. Our programs seek to stimulate sobriety, resiliency, self-esteem, personal growth, social and civic responsibility, reunification, cooperation, leadership, cross-cultural understanding, safety, and community awareness. At the same time, our program works to empower adults and youth alike in developing positive decision-making processes that will not only drastically impact their lives but the lives of those within their communities.
