UMADAOP Lucas County provides evidence-based prevention services that emphasize a culturally competent, client-centered, strength-based, specialized approach for program service delivery. The clients comprise a racially and ethnically diverse, client population. Prevention services are provided to address alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and violence prevention strategies for youth and families that reside in Toledo, Ohio and its surrounding communities. The prevention services are grouped into different areas according to age, gender appropriateness, and prevention curriculum areas. The prevention services are open to both male and female participants, with targeted outreach efforts conducted to engage at-risk, underserved youth and families.
